About Me

My name is Tracy Houlden. After 35 years working in HR, including roles as a Business Partner and Director, I founded Howgills HR to provide SMEs with access to high-level expertise on a flexible, pay-as-you-go basis.

I believe HR should be straightforward. I am CIPD qualified and have experience across numerous industries, including hospitality, training, retail, distribution, legal, and the public sector. My goal is to help business owners manage their people with confidence, fairness, and compliance.

When I’m not working, I enjoy horse riding, swimming, running, and yoga. I’m also currently negotiating with my husband to fill the dog-shaped hole in our home with a new four-legged friend.
